Project Management is one of O1A DPMS’ core services. Cost Consultancy

Contract Administration

As Contract Administrators we are appointed to administer the terms of the building contract between clients and their contractors.

Our experts monitor and act to ensure compliance with the contractual obligations between both parties. Our experienced Contract Administrators establish excellent relationships with all parties to help avoid and resolve disputes and issues encountered in a manner that is fair and balanced to clients and contractors.

  • Ensuring all parties are familiar with their obligations and remain compliant at all times.

  • Ensuring information is communicated in a timely manner to ensure the smooth progression of the contract.

BIM (Building Information Modelling)

Building Information Modelling (BIM) is a system to create one shared digital representation of the physical and functional aspects of a building which is then used by the whole project team.

BIM can add real value for clients in both the public and private sectors because it can save cost and time, allow more accurate estimation and help to avoid errors and alterations later on.

At O1A we are focused on making sure the adoption of BIM delivers value for clients. For publicly funded projects this means making sure teams are ready to make use of BIM and that clients can use the data to best effect. For commercial clients, this means looking at the benefits flowing directly from the use of BIM and seeing that these accrue to our clients.
 

BIM offers benefits to clients through:

Construction Management

Construction Management provides a very successful alternative to traditional methods of procuring construction works. It facilitates a professional and non-adversarial method for construction delivery, including the management of design, procurement and on-site construction to achieve the client and building designer’s vision for the project without using a main or management contractor.

This route provides clients and project teams with the ability to actively manage cost and risk, to suit their specific requirements and to respond to the varying demands of the project throughout its duration. This alternative approach has been adopted very successfully by clients across multiple sectors from historic restorations to private residences, manufacturing and pharmaceutical facilities and commercial office fit outs.
 

Our services include:
 

  • Management of the full construction process including package procurement, coordination and supervision of on-site works.

  • Programming and planning of construction works together with buildability and logistics reviews and studies.

  • Proactive management of project scopes, programme and budget to mitigate change.

  • Full duties of the Principal Contractor.

Architectural Design and Master Planning Services

We are experts at managing and delivering design - drawing on the knowledge from a wide range of disciplines to tailor a project specifically to our client’s needs.

We have the in-house ability in place to offer a complete integrated design service for our clients. Our teams are made up of experienced project managers, architects, structural and building services engineers, landscape and interior designers, master planners and urban regeneration specialists, working in close collaboration with our other construction services.
 

We have a deep understanding of the full project lifecycle across education, public and private estates, residential, commercial office and urban regeneration sectors. Our portfolio ranges from small scale extensions and refurbishments to large scale programmes valued at $500m.
